A Christ-centered retreat and counseling center located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of East Tennessee
Pastors, missionaries and Christian laypersons often need an affordable place where they can rest, relax and be refreshed. The beautiful facilities and serenity of our natural surroundings, combined with the absence of internet, telephones and televisions makes Fairhaven an ideal place to unplug. Individuals, couples and families can all enjoy a retreat at Fairhaven.
Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of East Tenessee, Fairhaven has 15 chalets and cottages with comfortable accommodations in secluded settings that provide opportunity for rest and renewal.
Roaring Creek tumbles over multiple cascades on its way through our mountain valley. A trail system provides guests the opportunity to explore Fairhaven's 100 acres that are beautiful in each season. Spring and summer wildflowers array our woods and meadows. Fall colors cause our mountains to flame with splendor, and winter snows turn the mountains into a sparkling wonderland.
When the challenges of life become overwhelming, it can be of great benefit to discuss these concerns with an objective listener.
Fairhaven offers the opportunity to combine a mountain getaway with counseling to explore personal and professional needs. Privacy, confidentiality and commitment to sound biblical and psychological principles are provided in a peaceful setting. In conjunction with counseling, an extensive library is available for self-directed study.
Fifteen lovely chalets and cottages await our 2,500 guests per year. The chalets and cottages are tastefully furnished.
A lovely gift shop in the Main Lodge Welcome Center has books, shirts, and items hand-crafted by our staff.

This was my second time and I appreciated every part of the ministries here including the setting, accommodations, library in the chalet, counselor's ministry and apparent hard work of the staff to minister to us. I especially appreciate the fact that there is no access to internet or cell phone signals for the guests on the property.
Each time we have visited it has refreshed our soul and spirit. Thank you for providing a place for renewal, refreshment and recharging in such a lovely location and setting.
This was one of the best weeks of my life! The band-aids of my short and watered-down “Sabbaths” back home were no longer working. A week at Fairhaven gave God the space to do heart surgery on me. And am I grateful! I’m returning home trusting God to give me the strength to protect the beautiful gift of “Sabbath” He’s given me.
I want to thank each one, along with staff workers at Fairhaven Ministries who were like family to me, in the most peaceful and beautifully anointed surroundings ever. I and my family, and the ministry God has placed me in, will never be the same because of His loving kindness, and the thoughtfulness of people like you, who give to these ministries unselfishly and prayerfully.
This weekend provided a haven from the busyness of ministry life. What a tremendous blessing it has been to share fellowship, delicious meals, worship, teaching times and prayer with other women who have the same calling in their lives; women who are called “the pastor’s wife.” I’ve also appreciated the time to hike on the leafy paths beside the creek and revel in God’s creation and also have time to rest. Thank you for listening to the Lord and hosting this retreat. The timing was perfect & I’m going home “rested and renewed!
